Please do it. It's long overdue. It's way passed time. He needs to go. I mean how much more of his angst are we supposed to buy before you ruin one of your more important spin-offs of your franchise? Please.

Don't get me wrong, I admire his acting and hope he has a wonderful career, but he has beaten his role on SVU into the ground and it's become embarrassing to all concerned at how badly your writers (if you want to call them that) have become at replaying the same situation over....and over....and over again. He is now a one note character. He is predictable. He has become a joke and a not very entertaining one either. He is Thurston Howell the Third on Gilligan's Island. He is Robert Carradine in the Revenge of the Nerds films. Mariska Hargitey is winning Emmies, but not just because she should (and she should), but because her acting looks great next to the terrible writing that Christopher is trying to act to. He is a great actor who is being screwed by poor writing.

I don't blame him because the truth is he really is a very fine actor, but I blame you Dick Wolf, because you have allowed your writers to become lazy in writing his role and the greatest part about the Law and Order franchise has been the writing, until this role. Take control of your franchise Dick Wolf and release Christopher to go on to finer roles. Please. Like so many other fans I am sick of his tortured cop violating the rules that no other cop could get away with just because he has a tortured soul role and has to bend over and slam his head on the floor like William Shatner at his worst (and Shatner did it better) just because your writers are making him do it. His role has become so over-wrought and so over-played that it's becoming joke! Stop it! Bring us another Lenny Briscoe!
